How to Fix the Housing Crisis

This is the first lecture of the  Mises Circle in Houston to discuss the future of liberty under expanding government.

Doug French explains  “How to Fix the Housing Crisis” in Houston, on 14 January 2012.  The “healthy” solution is easy: allow the mortgage holders to fail.

Ludwig von Mises explained that one government intervention leads to an endless succession of interventions to deal with the effects of the first and subsequent interventions. In Mises own words, it comes down to two choices:  “Either capitalism or socialism: there exists no middle way” .
